Welcome to Y1 Dragonflies! My name is Miss Halstead and I will be working with your children, Mrs Burnell and Mrs Wiley are our lovely Teaching Assistants.
We work together as a team to ensure that your child enjoys coming to school to learn in a creative, fun environment. Throughout the year we have lots of exciting learning activities planned! We strive to help your child achieve their full potential. We have high expectations and encourage the children to aim high too.
Children are encouraged to be independent and each child is a valued member of the class with something unique to contribute. We hope that your children will enjoy their time in Y1 and that you will support them on their learning journey. We are so pleased to see how many children are enjoying reading at home.
