Pupil Premium

What is Pupil Premium funding?

The pupil premium is additional funding for schools in England to raise the attainment of disadvantaged pupils of all abilities and to close the gaps between them and their peers.

Pupil Premium funding is allocated to schools to use in whatever way they deem best to support children who are, or have been, on Free School Meals, are Looked After children, have been adopted from LA Care, or have parent(s) in the armed forces.

How the grant will be used in 2023-26:

When making decisions about the pupil premium funding it is important to consider the context of the school and the subsequent challenges the schools and pupils face. Through targeted interventions we are working to eliminate the barriers to learning and progress. For pupils who start with lower starting points our aim is to ensure that they make accelerated learning in order to reach their potential and/ or their age related expectation.
